Anyone for a Couple Holes of Golf???

On January 26, 2016, Garmin announced the release of the Garmin Approach S20 golfing watch. This watch is truly amazing and a cool gadget for anyone who plays golf. The S20 can also be used to track daily activities and sleep, similar to a FitBit. The S20 can be linked to your cell phone allowing the user to receive text messages, notifications, and phone calls right on their wrists. The suggested retail for this watch is $199.99, which is comparable to other devices in the same tech area. So, what can it do for your golf games? Plenty! This watch comes preloaded with over 40,000 golf course layouts around the world. The S20 can give the user distances to traps and water hazards. There is a new feature called AutoShot that records the location and distance of each shot that a user makes. The data is received into the Garmin Connect app for analysis. This would be a great product to use during practice games before a tournament. The user can see what he or she needs to do on each corresponding hole. The S20 is stylish enough to replace your everyday watch. It comes with a full hinged watchband and a 15 hour battery life. The S20 would make a great gift for any avid golfer.

This article was very informative and makes me want one, even though I don’t golf. There are so many other uses for it. The writer did a beautiful job of describing the S20. I would have liked to see a comment box on the blog, so I could tell the writer how much I enjoyed reading about the S20. There is a box where the reader can subscribe to the blog, which I thought was a neat idea.  The grammar is flawless and the pictures are professional and appropriate. The pictures show the beauty of the watch. This blog does a great job of representing Garmin as a whole. Garmin has great products and this is just another example of that. The Garmin blog site has several different blogs within the main company site (Garmin Blog Site), making it a one stop for all things Garmin. This site is a great example of how a company site should be.

BMW Blog How to Save a Life

Can you image walking away from a crash like this?? Another forum member and the EMS team that was on the scene, said that the BMW i8 car saved a teenagers’ life. This article (BMW i8 Saves Lives) talks about the newly designed carbon structure of the BMW i8. This was just an innocent wreck on a dark and curvy road. No alcohol or drugs were involved, just an unmarked gate across the road and loose gravel. The driver could have been driving a little fast for conditions but there was not a posted speed limit on the road.  The air bags came out as the car slammed into the gate. This in turn blocked the driver’s vision from seeing that the road was curving. The car went straight through the curve and hit an embankment, flipping over. The BMW i8 is equipped with BMW assist which was immediately notified of the air bag deployment. Help was sent within minutes. The passenger of the car got out and was walking around when EMS showed up. The driver only suffered a concussion and two compression fractures. The stress-absorbing feature of the carbon fiber structure was the main factor for the kids walking away from this wreck. Can you image going through such a horrible accident? If I could afford a BMW i8, I would buy one just for the safety of the car.

This blog allows for comments and is a true inspiration for the new innovations that are being created everyday by car manufacturers. The photos in this specific blog are a little graphic, but appropriate for the story. The blog is written in a logical manner and the grammar is perfect. I couldn’t find any mistakes. The writer did a great job of promoting the company’s i8 vehicle. What parent wouldn’t want to get this vehicle for their child, if they could afford it. As a whole, the company blog site is great. The blogs within the site are very diverse and can be viewed by many consumers. There is also a link to social media that allows the user to quickly find the Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest page.

Windows Tech Blog for Superbowl Sunday

Microsoft offers a variety of blogs sites but the most concise site is the Windows Blog. This blog covers all things Microsoft. If you want a site to read random current news from Microsoft, then this is the site for you. I chose to read the blog 5 Great Ways to Get SuperBowl Savy This Week.  The purpose of this blog is to suggest different types of apps and technological objects to make viewing the SuperBowl more exciting. You can download 2 different apps to watch the game, use Cortana to predict who will win the game and get fun trivia questions, or join an NFL Madden Tournament on the Microsoft Store. The article was really effective, because now I have some other options for watching the game on Sunday. Since I am a gamer, I am really interested in the NFL tournament. The prize is an XBOX One and a Madden NFL 16 video game for XBOX. I could really use a backup XBOX One in case mine dies. The best part is that only people living in North Carolina, Denver, and NY are eligible to enter the tournament. Less people means more of a chance for me to win.

This was a well written blog, free of grammatical and spelling errors. Each of the 5 ways has pictures and very well documented to make the reader really interested in the apps. This blog does not allow user feedback, but it does have a link on the bottom to contact the company with any questions or concerns. There are also tag words on the bottom of the page so that I can find more information about this topic very easily. That means a lot when you want to find out the information and move on to something else. In conclusion, I think everyone that intends on watching the SuperBowl should read this blog and learn just a few things that will make Sunday more enjoyable.
